Forever...........

Yes, it has been forever..........

Here are a few cards I made the other day, just messing around with my stuff.

It's not that I haven't made any cards but when I did they were made quickly and given to the intended recipient without taking time to take pictures! Fortunately, the photography business has been extremely busy so haven't had much "play" time.

TECC#61

This is the card for TECC #61 (in case you hadn't figured that out from the title!) ;-)

I used "Two Scoops" paper from Basic Grey and my Changito monkey colored with Copics. I added some crystal stickles here and there for sparkle, especially on the large brad in the center of the flower and 3 robin eggs. Inside I stamped "Thinking of You."

Thanks for checking in. Remember, comments are welcome!!

House Mouse Monday Challenge #30

This challenge from the House Mouse Challenge Blogspot was to make a shaped card....well, in all honesty, I don't think I have ever made a shaped card! After looking at some of my House Mouse stamps, this is the one that made an idea pop into my head. I was pretty happy with how the card turned out!

Black paper is from PaperTreyInk. The clear acetate is from Cornish Heritage Farms. Believe me, this is tough stuff. I had a hard time punching out the openings with my punch! The stamps, besides the House Mouse one, are from Stampin' Up. Hello and the stars are Stampin' Up RubOns. The "cord" was made by rubbing some Elmers School Glue on a piece of black cord and wrapping it around a pencil until it was dry. The phone receiver was stamped with Stampibilities White Emboss Ink and then embossed with Stampin' Up clear. I cut the Mouse off the phone's receiver and then stamped it again in brown. I colored the mouse with copics and cut him our and stuck him back on the receiver.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #60

This is my take on the sketch this week for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. Lucky for me I had some precut ovals I bought on eBay as I don't have anything that cuts or punches oval....I know that's hard to believe!!

I used a mix of paper. The pink background is Sweet Blush Perfect Match from Papertrey Ink. Some of the other paper is Basic Grey-Two Scoops. I colored the cupcakes with my copics, added a bit of sparkle with some Spica's and some white from a gel pen. I tried to get a bit creative with the ribbon...it's not as smooth as I wanted but not too bad.

Today's Creativity...not so much!

I made another card like the one yesterday, but for a baby boy this time. I intended to make several more with this layout but had other things come up that I needed to do such as design a wedding book.

I also had a photo order come in so I needed to "pretty up" my wallet packaging a bit for a senior girl's order. You can check out my photo blog or my website.
Thanks for checking in! I always appreciate comments!!

A Baby Card

I made this baby card based on some cards I saw a while back on Michelle Wooderson's blog. I check her blog often for inspiration!

The patterned paper was Nana's Nursery from Hobby Lobby on Kraft paper from PapertreyInk. The stamp is from Stampin' Up set "Polka Dot Punches" and the heart was punched out with the Stampin' Up Large Heart Punch. The sentiment is from Bitty Baby Blessings from PaperTreyInk.

Card for House Mouse Challenge #29

This was a fun card I made for the House Mouse Challenge #29. The paper was Memory Box "Sprout." I stamped my mouse with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored him with copics. You can't really tell in the picture, but I used Crystal Effects to make the little water drops on the flowers. I used Spellbinders Nestibilities to cut the circles. To finish it off, I punched out the corner piece and added the bow and the robins eggs.

Sympathy Card

I had a fun Stampin' Up party last night! Oh boy, did I ever have to hold on tight to my money. There are so many cute stamp sets, as well as accessories. I'm sure I really need one of most everything!

I do have a new stamp set from PapertreyInk called "With Sympathy." I had to try it out this afternoon and make a quick card as I needed a sympathy card any way. The paper is ocean tides, as well as the ink color. The brown is stampin' up and I sponged some Ranger distress inks around it, especially towards the edge. I also sponged on a bit of VersaMark Dazzle in Champagne to give it a bit of sparkle. I also used a gold Spica pen to add a bit of sparkle in the flowers. The ribbon is a satin chocolate chip from PaperTrey also. With Sympathy stamp is from Stampin' Up set "Warmest Regards."

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #55

This card is for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #55. This was a challenge for me! Don't usually have to cut that many straight lines! :-) At first I thought I didn't like the card at all but then I added the embossed swirly and the ribbon and this really seemed to bring the card together for me. The plain paper is the Perfect Match paper from Papertrey in Aqua Mist. The patterned paper is "Let it Bloom" from Black Market. Ribbon is Ocean Tides from Papertrey. Sentiment is from Hero Arts stamped with Ocean Tides and the Swirly is from Stampabilities embossed in Whiskers Seafoam White. And, as a final touch the little robin eggs!
This week I also decorated a couple of cute photo boxes for wallets for seniors...but I let those go out the door before I took a picture. :-(
Be creative!

TECC #51

Woohoo! I've played 2 weeks in a row! This is for Taylored Expressions Challenge #51 (http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/). I wanted to make a bright, happy card for a birthday!
The stamp is an old one from Hook's Lines & Inkers that I stamped with Stampin' Up Glorious Green and then I colored the image with Copics. I don't remember where I got the ribbon, but I don't think I had ever used it any of it. I used red line tape to attach the ribbon and finished it off with the little flower brads. The orange paper is from Basic Grey's Cupcake pack. The green is just some old paper I had around.

TECC #50

I spent a lot of time trying to find three small things that would go together for this card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge - http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/. I needed a birthday card for my cousin, so by adding a happy birthday to the inside, I am set....which is good as her b'day is tomorrow! Paper is from Black Market, Let it Bloom 6x6 pad. Large cupcake is from a Stampin Up set, "Birthday Best." I colored it with copics and used a combination of stickles and pick glitter for frosting. The small cupcake is from a clear set from Impression Obsession.

CPS #97 Challenge

OOooops!! The week got by and I never got this one posted for the CPS http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ challenge #97. So, I guess it's better late than never but I have to post it since I actually got the card made this time!
I used white prism cardstock for the base. Stamped the sentiment with a the justrite stamper from the wedding set and then embossed it. Punched it out and added a scalloped circle made with a spellbinder die. I attached it with foam tape to give it a bit of dimension. I added a gray rain drop to bring out the other circles. The pattern paper was some scraps I had and I'm not really sure where it came from. The ribbon came from Papertrey Ink I believe. This was a fun, easy card to make so I made a couple while I had everything out.
Thanks for looking!!

Shrinky Dink Fun for Girls Night

Last night we had a "Girls Night" at a friends house and made cute little beverage markers with shrinky dinks. These are a few I made. They are not all totally completed but we ran out of wire for the rings last night so they can be finished later. It is so amazing how these things shrink up. We had a lot of fun with it!

Finally, another post!!

Hope you all had a great holiday time and are having a happy new year!! I haven't taken time to post anything lately. Even more recently, my main work computer has been down with a virus and that has totally messed up my work flow in my photography business!

These are a few cards, and a bookmark, I put together recently. I love the baby card. The pink was embossed with swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. I stamped the baby buggy with chocolate chip and colored it with copics and added a little bling. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sugared (I love their 6x6 papers!) and the brad is from Making Memories. All the buggy and sentiment are from Bitty Baby Blessing from Papertrey Ink. This is such a cute set! The ribbon is just a brown satin ribbon...yeah, I know it looks black in the picture.
The bookmark was a just for fun project. The stamps are all from stampers anonymous. They are embossed then distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing inks and I also rubbed on a bit of stickles in a couple areas with my finger to add a bit of sparkle. I used my Crop-a-dile Big Bite to attach the eyelet. I totally love this thing...I used to had using eyelets but this truly makes it easy, plus the hole punch works great on most anything!
The final card is only partially finished as I couldn't decide what I wanted to put on it for a sentiment.....I decided to just wait and see what I might need this card for as it can be used many different ways. My motivation to make the card was simply to use this stamp and my doodlebug brown flocking on the cattails. The design was stamped with Versamark and embossed the Stampin Up copper, then colored with copics before applying the glue and adding the flocking. I loved how it turned out.
Thanks for checking in!!
