I am still here!!

I have been way to busy with my photography business to do any stamping! However, I did make shower invitations for my niece's bridal shower and also some thank you's for her to send out. They were about as fast and simple as they could be!! The bridal shower invitations were made in photoshop and printed out and then I punched the front bottom edge with a fiskars punch so that the strip of purple on the inside shows. For the thank you's I used the same basic design but added a purple stripe on the front and the just stamped the front with my JustRite stamper and added a tiny purple pearl to the curl of the C. I wanted to stamp that part and punch it out and attach it with some foam tape to give it some dimension, but I didn't have a punch the right size at the time.

Need to Create!

Having a creative outlet is a necessity in my life. I have always been obsessed with paper...any kind of paper...from sketch pads to gorgeous scrapbook papers. I am a busy photographer and this, along with photoshop, is a great creative outlet, but I love the hands on feel of working with paper, stamps, ribbon, bling, etc. to create cards, scrapbook pages and special packaging for photo orders. As time allows, it is my goal to participate in some of the card making challenges online as well as have a place to post the results of my creative endeavors!

This last week, I put together this wedding invitation for my niece. It was a simple project and I think it looks pretty good. The back is a dark purple 5x7 piece of cardstock. The front is vellum with bits of sparkle. Inside, the wedding/reception information are printed on pearl paper. The paper was all ordered from the Paper and More http://www.paperandmore.com// I love it that you can order samples of all their paper with only a $1.00 shipping charge so you are able to pick exactly what you need. The ribbon was bought at a Michael's store and the calla lilies were ordered online from Formal Invitations http://www.formal-invitations.com/
